I don't see why Indmar should be on the hook to fix an out of warranty engine. Sucks that it took a dump but it's a mechanical device. Most times they work, sometimes they break.

Good luck getting back on the water soon.

Yeah that really sucks! Have you done anything more than a compression test?

Assuming not, when you did the test, did you pull all of the spark plugs and compare the numbers?

Could you hear any additional air noise escaping from the intake or neighboring cylinders? Cold be a blown head gasket.

Did you do a wet test as well? If there was no change from dry to wet, then it may be a valve not a piston.

If there was some compression, maybe the cam went flat and will not let the cylinder breath. No air in, no or limited compression.

That is all I can think of for now. A valve job is a lot cheaper and easier than an engine rebuild.

Good luck.

Leakdown test is the next step. Hope its just a valve.

Yea I do get the part it's out of warranty. BUT the customer service dude on the other end was pretty much just trying to get me off the phone. Very little concern about their product failed after what at least "I" consider a short time for an engine to run.

I'll be pulling the head Tuesday. Yes did a cold, no plugs compression. All were around 125 except for #3 which was 90.

I'll post my findings when I get to the bottom.

Well since #3 and #5 are on the same bank I'm hoping you have a blown head gasket problem and no valve or ring issues. Good luck man. Keep us posted or let us know if we can help.
