Fuse Tripping for ballast tank pump

Recommended Posts

The fuse is popping on my 06 24-7 when i try to drain the rear right ballast tank. It is fine to fill but when i switch to drain the fuse pops after about 10 seconds....

1. does the same pump fill and drain the tanks?

2. where are the rear tanks located and how do i access them?

any suggestions?

The tanks have a seperate pump for each tank for draining, and for filling. unfortunately, I believe your drain tanks are buried under the rear floor connected directly to the tank. The fill pumps are located next to the V-Drive. Rear tanks on the right, and center tank on the left, looking at the Vdrive. I am sure there is a thread on here on how to access your rear tanks. I will see if I can find it, and link it up.

Here you go!

Your impeller is going out. Pull the top off and spin it with your hand. If there is resistance you need to replace it. Buy 2 and keep a spare in the boat.
