clearing fault codes

Recommended Posts

Anybody know the magic proceedure (if any besides taking to the dealer) to clear stored knock sensor error codes? I have had them showing up for a couple of years now and they have never gone away even with the battery disconnected for 3 months. Not really a major issue just wondering if there is an easy way to clear them? BTW I did a search on this site and did not come up with anything useful, maybe I was using the correct keywords.

Thanks for any info.

If you have older style MEFI engine, you can do it with a paperclip: http://codes.rennacs.com/Manual-info.php
