Electrical Issue - Cant Figure it Out

Recommended Posts

Hope someone can give me a lead to what may be wrong with my 2000 Wakesetter. I seem to have a total electrical failure with no power to guages, starter, or accessories. Batteries are okay and fully charged. Is there a main fuse somewhere thta could be blown or a ground somewhere obscure thta I might be missing? Help!! Thanks for any advice you may have.

check your owners manual for circuit breaker locations.

there is a large breaker near the battery (60 to 80 ish amps) that supports the whole rig.

another smaller breaker near the ecm that supports most engine functions.

the main breaker on my response is on the port side of the center stack.

can't help w your rig.

there is a manual on the resources/dyi page but i'm having problems loading the pdf.

maybe you will have better luck w it.

There is a main breaker. It's the red button in this pic. Also, check that the large "cannon plug" right below it is good and tight.

Besides that, go to the starter and make sure all the connections there are tight. A lot of the boat's electrical system is fed off of the starter.
