Fuel Pump on Monsoon

Recommended Posts

Can someone point me to a picture or describe where the fuel pump is on my 2005 VLX. I have the Monsoon engine.

Last summer we got vapor lock a couple of times and I didn't know at the time that it can be remedied by cooling down the fuel pump with a wet towel... so before we head to the lake for a long hot weekend, I want to be prepared if this happens again.

No pictures, but if you locate the gas tank, then follow the hose to the engine, you will run into it eventually.

Because your engine is installed backwards, your fuel pump is on the starboard side of the engine, towards the front of the boat, down low. Look to the right of and a little lower than your oil filter.

It looks like this, mounted vertically, with the (2) inlet side on the bottom.
