Just got a 95 response with a fly high pro x tower...I'm thinking about making my own wedge and was looking for someone that has done this. also I would like to try to surf behind it, is that possible or should I stick to wakeboarding?

First off Welcome.gif and werule.gif

Second yes you can absolutely surf with a response. May take a bit extra work (ballas etc) though. Look here for building your own wedge. Ie contact Rugger. I'm sure he'll chime in.

Good luck with the boat and lets see some pics!!!!!!!

I've read about the wedge pulling apart the transom. Can that actually happen? Also if I do build one can I get some specs on the factory one?

It can pull through the transom. The newer boats have a reinforced transom. I'm unsure what year they started reinforcing them. For all the wedge information your going to want to talk to Rugger as he's done it. I really don't have a clue. And I believe he's the only one I know that has done it. I could be wrong though.

A '95 Sunsetter came with a wedge, but I don't know if the Response came with one. Be sure... Be safe!
