wake is small if I use wedge in the down position , we run it in the highest setting ( 9, to us ) , at 10.8 MPH , with 4 or 5 poeple in boat ( most 120lbs - 200lbs me :( )

Yeh... I'm the biggest piece of ballast in the boat too. I do like our surf wake as there is lots of push but more is always better1 !! I'll play more maybe some more weight in the front with the wedge at full may help..... setting up for surfing has been a journey not a destination.

I agree on the journey not a destination, I try different things every day just to see. And you always have a different number of people in the boat and a different amount of gas in the boat, different depth in the the lake etc. I also have no luck with the wedge anywhere but all the way down. 750 in the rear locker is the way to go though, I saw a big jump in wave quality when I switched from a 540 to a 750. Now I put the 540 in the seat behind the driver when it is just me the wife and kids. And I dont use it all all if there is another family. Tonight I had front full middle full, right full, 750 full in the right. Two adults behind the driver, 3 kids up front on the right. Wave was incredible, wish I had some picks. Put it this way, my LF Venture 5.0 is rated to about 180 lbs. I weigh 180 and I got up with my 7 year old (about 60 lbs) in my lap, surfed with her between my legs and went ropeless for a long way, that is how good the wave was. And that was at 10.8

07s are goofy for sure. The only issue I have is the front MLS tank in the bow self drains on the goofy side. I was going to add a valve but I decided to put 400# of pop bags in the drink holder slot. Surfs up all year here in So Cal

Edo,

We surf goofy, have 2 people who go 230 and can go ropeless at about 10.0-10.5. The biggest thing for heavier riders is to find the balance to push forward on the front foot without nose diving. With lighter riders, the board is more boyant and they don't seem to have to push on the nose so much to stay with the wave.
