carpet for extreme trailer

I have a 08 extreme trailer and the bumper rails, not sure what they are called, needs new carpet. Actually just one does. At the very top it is thin and wood is showing and it looks sharp. It looks like I can unbolt it and then just glue/staple on new carpet but I'm trying to figure out if i can buy this carpet someplace besides from Extreme? Maybe some place online? I only need like 3 x 3 feet of it.

I got mine from my local dealer. Although lots of guys on here have just bought it from Lowes or Home depot etc. Good luck. We did our bunks last year.

My local Lowe's had black marine grade carpet and I re-did my whole trailer last year for less than $75. Bake's also sells the carpet but keep in mind you'll need several packages if you decide to do the whole trailer.

I wouldn't use the carpet from Extreme. I have a 2010 trailer, and the carpet is very low grade. I had burns in mine within the first week of using the boat, and I do dip the trailer in plenty deep to avoid as much friction as I can loading. I already have one area right on the edge of a board that is worn through and torn. It just seems to me like the carpet is one area where Extreme has really cut corners. (Along with the cheap knock-off "Rhino Liner" that they use on the fenders that melts when a drop of gasoline hits it when you're filling up. If I had to do it over again, I would have tried to get a Boatmate trailer rather than an Extreme. My last trailer was a Boatmate, and it just seemed to be a better built trailer.)

Sorry for the hijack.... Back to the carpet.... I would just head to your local Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, etc. and buy their best indoor/outdoor carpet. This is what I used to recarpet the bunks on my last trailer (after 10 years of use mind you), and it seemed to hold up very good for the 2+ years that it was on the trailer before I sold that boat. Looks like I'll be doing that pretty soon on my brand new Extreme trailer!
