2001 Sunsetter - my LCD display is starting to fade from the bottom up, trouble seeing fuel gauge ect.

I've priced out a new one (not cheap) and my question is replacement. It looks impossible to get at from the underside - i'm thinking I must go through the front of the dash. can anyone confirm? any diagrams available?

Thanks

Mine was recently doing the same thing but was replaced under warranty. If your dash looks like the pic below then remove the 2 screws holding down the small stainless malibu emblem and the 1 screw direclty above above that gauge under the top of the dash.

Edit-Damn it Mike!!

Sorry, some times work gets in the way of helping out the crew, I won't let it happen again. At least our instructions were consistent

WORK? Man that stuff is overrated.

Thanks for the help.

What year is your boat that it was replaced under warrantY?

My boat is an '06 but the original owner didn't take delivery until 4/07, so I had until 4/10 for the 3 year warranty issues. I had it replaced back in March.
