Speed & Rope Length

Speed should be judged by weight and board size or ski size. It makes no difference ski or board it need to be tracking in the water not skimming across the top out of control.

Rope length is more of a personal thing or level of rider ability. Boarding the better the rider the longer the rope. You want to land the jumps on the back side of the wake. Skiing the short rope is more challenging and faster more often an advanced skier. You can also use rope length to get out of a bad spot in the wake.

This is a general rule of thumb.
