Just wanted to say Hello, and introduce myself (Jeff) and my family, wife Sandy, son's Gavin 9, Andrew 19, and Daughter Halle 8. We just purchased our first ever Malibu. We just came out of a 01' MC X-Star which was a good boat, but needed something with more room for the family and the kids friends and Valley Marine here in Nebraska was great to work with and we chose a 2005 Malibu Wakesetter VLX. We are excited to get it on the water, but have to wait while they are getting it ready. So Hello to all!

Welcome to the crew! Looks like you got a VLX with a titan tower, very good choice, hang around here long enough and you'll see what I mean  Post some more pics when you get a chance!!

Congrats and I think you'll enjoy this boat more than your MC, one word of caution the wake will be a little wider on the Bu.

Nice, I have been looking at that boat for the last 2 months and trying to talk myself into driving the 600 miles to go see it. Congratulations, I'm jealous!!

I will definitely be picking the brains on here for information on the boat. I don't know to much about Malibu yet, but I am sure I will learn fast.

ScooterM,

Thanks, the boat is in good condition overall. Kinda nervous at first on the Hammerhead 383 engine...Since it was replaced once already, but I talked with the owner and his son was the one who always used the boat and I know him fairly well and he rides a ton so the boat has a fair amount of hours on it just over 700, the engine suppose to only have a tad over 200hrs so I am hoping for the best. Oh and the trailer is not the correct trailer in the photo/Ad you looked at, it has a yellow tandem instead of the black. I wish it was black, looks better to me.

No offense to anyone with a black trailer but they're a dime a dozen, I think I would prefer the yellow trailer if it's in decent shape.
