Lewis Smith Lake Alabama

Just recently took a trip to Lewis Smith Lake in AL. The lake was awesome! The water was very clean, clear, and deep. The lake is very big but very easy to find some good boarding areas. My only problem with the trip was the house we rented. There are plenty of very nice homes on the lake. We found our rental on VRBO (282220 dixieland delight). The home was very nice as for as appearance. The A/C didn't work properly a good portion of the week. The water pressure in the home was horrible. Water flow to the shower would cease just by flushing the toilet. If anyone was showering you could not use anything else that needed water (washing machine, dishwasher, sink, etc...) We spent 1-1 1/2 hours cleaning and straightening up prior to leaving. Just recently we got part of our deposit back $100 of $300 dollars. He said we stopped up his plumbing and ruined his porch and the place was filthy. I'll admit a piece of charcoal fell out of the grill and made a spot about the size of a nickel, but come on $200 dollars. The filthiness he complained of was were dumped the charcoal ashes (out in the woods). I guess you should put them in the trash and hope like ---- the trash doesn't catch on fire. Enough ranting just avoid this home if you ever go. Also, it is way to for by water to a marina. Have a good year on the water.

Sounds like the home owner is a piece of work to me...
