Miami Florida and Pittsburgh Pa have the highest boater registrations in the country. After reading all the forums I noticed many of the Crew if from Oregon and Washington. Anyone no what is your registration is among your cities or states?

Oregon is $59 for 2 years.

What a rip off. We paid $54 2 years ago.

The extra $5 is for invasive plant control in our waterways.

Parking Pass for our state owned boat ramps is $40 for a 2 year pass. Otherwise $3 per time. Except the dagnab parking permit machine will swallow your $3 bucks sometimes and not cough out a permit.

about $43 a year here in WA. about half for the trailer and half for the boat. Then the WA State Boat Launch Permit for the year is $70 for only a handfull of launches.

i'm not sure of city by city rankings or state by state rankings but, i know michigan rates right up near the top in boat registration in the country.

3 year 45.00 fee.

plate for the trailer was a permenant deal for 75.00,

it use to be 35.00 a year for the plate and our secretary of state decided to raise funds quick and go with a permenant plate at a higher fee.

the long term effects of people not having to buy a plate or stickers every year has our gov changing all of that now... :(

Are you asking about the cost of registration or the number of registered boats?

MS cost $25 for 3 years but I haven't counted how many there are lately.

I just paid $39 in WI, which included title and stickers for 3 years! Super cheap. My trailer has IL plates (I live on the IL/WI border but boat mostly in WI), and IL hits me for $54 per year for license plate renewal. Crooks!

$43??!! I just renewed my boat registration today - $109 for the year. The trailer was $33.75 for the year. What part of WA do you live in?

License fee is $10.50 in Washington, filing fee $3.00, license service fee (WTH?) .75, derelict vessel fee $6.00, and depending on the value of your boat, based on the purchase price and a depreciation schedule, Watercraft excise tax-.005 times the value of your boat. Per Year. Going into the "general (tax and spend democratic) fund". $213 ouch, for a total of $233.25 for me. For one year. I don't remember it being that high last year, so either it is a new revenue opportunity created by our democratic run state, or my wife paid it last year! I know all this because I paid online today and my receipt is printed out sitting in front of me.

So yeah, the $43 quoted is suspect, maybe that was the trailer.

edit - the aforementioned depretiation schedule appears to be like the recipe for Classic Coke, secret. Considering the volumous amount of data the state puts online it is conspiciously missing.
