can you run a 1 1/8 prop on a 1 inch shaft??

I have heard that somewhere they make a adapter for a 1 inch shaft to be able to run a prop ment for a 1 1/8 shaft. Kind of like a bushing...Any truth to this and where might someone purchase and for how much. My boat has a 1 inch shaft and not many options out there and geting fewer day by day..

Yes - there's a bushing. It's made out of some type of nylon/plastic. It's tapered to match the shaft and split lengthwise for the key. I have a 1 1/8" prop on my boat.

MidwestMike - though we've been PM'ing - thought I'd post this here so it can come up in search when others are looking for the same thing.

I found this adapter - it's for 7/8" shaft to 1-1/8" bore - but I bet they have the 1" too.
