Impeller Housing leaking

Recommended Posts

I just installed my new impeller today and when I hooked up my house to the Flushpro and turned on the water. I started to get water leaking out of the impeller pump housing. I thought I had the impeller pushed all the way in and i tightened the bolts but still leaking. I am wondering if i need to pull impeller and lube more and try and get in farther or if the housing is cracked though I wouldn't think it would be.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks!!!!

There is a gasket between the housing & the cover. When you pulled it off, did you notice what condition it was in?

Also, when your were prying & pulling the old impeller out, any chance you might have dinged or scraped the brass housing? It's pretty soft metal.

Personally I've never had a problem with either. Your sure it's coming from the housing itself?
