07 Hammerhead Spark plugs

Just tried to change my spark plugs, and the back spark plug on both sides is blocked by the exhaust header, are you kidding me? Who is the idiot at Indmar that let that get by? I assume others have dealt with this, do I need to order gaskets before I pull the headers off?

I got mine out without taking the manifolds off, was a pain, but used a plug socket and a wrench, a bit of messing around but it can be done.

Yes it is a pain. I use an open ended wrench that I grounded down the sides on. Guaranteed for a bloody knuckle or two. Good luck.

Yeah, I ended up grinding some flats on the sides of a socket, than used an open end wrench to get them out. What a pain is right.

Its really not bad once you get the right tools one of these and a open end wrench.

If you ever do pull the headers the answer is yes.
