Hi there,

I purchased a heater craft shower kit and the hoses that are included say 300psi @ 70 degrees F. Is this a problem since the water will be at ~140 degrees?

i had that same question but have not had any problems with the hose(s) over the last 10 years.

i did go so far as to insure that i could cap each hose source, just in case a hose developed a leak.

the fittings i used also allow quick disconnect so i can winterize in just a few minutes.

i headed to the local plumbing specialty house and found brass adapters that allowed me to use garden hose connections.

i keep a couple of brass hose caps/plugs in the boat toolbox.

if a hose were to start leaking i can pull the garden hose fitting and throw a cap on it and not miss a pass on the course.

i also added hose washers that have the screens in them to avoid sucking 'stuff' through the pump.

as a slightly more expensive option i added brass garden hose 'quick connects'.

both the shower and heater hoses are configured this way.

open the quick connects, introduce a bit of sierra, and i'm almost finished winterizing.

i can drop the rig in the pond until the pond is frozen and winterize in just a few minutes.
