The term budget boat is relative. If bu's, cc's, and mc's all made boats that cost an average of 1 million dollars a piece but the vRide was offered at 600k, it would still be considered a budget boat. But yeah, boating in general is expensive, actually our monthly payment is only about 1/3 of what we actually budget per month for boating expenses and we only go out about 4-5 times per month.

I knew someone was going to make that statement about everything being relative and you are 100% correct. However, our society tells us what terms are politically correct and which ones aren't. For example, used cars were ones just called used cars, now we have to call them pre-owned. This boat 10 years ago may have been called Malibu's cheap boat, but cheap now has a negative stigma that makes us think it is of low quality. I guess Budget is heading in that same direction. So yes, technically the v-ride is a budget boat, but I guess we can make that term more politically correct if we called it a "previously tested wakesetter technology at reduced priced" boat.
