mooring whips

My Bu is protected on a covered dock with lift. During use we utilze mooring whips (fiberglass) when we dock. The 12' ft whips are a pain. The moor king whips are stainless steel and only about 4-5' ling with stainless steel springs. They look very functional. Has anybody seen or purchased the moor-king mooring whip system

I can't help but have given thoughts to the using some. Can you give some feedback on the + & - of them.

been using mooring whips for at least 10 years. can't remember the brand, but they are a 2 piece fiberglass whip, about 10' maybe +/-

there is NO drawback, my boat would be scratched to utter S#$t if we didn't use them. if there is any risk of your boat bouncing off the dock, even with fenders, then get yourself some whips. small private lakes not necessary, but any lake where waves, either boat or natural occur, they will protect your boat's shiney gelcoat.

Not the mooring king ones, but use a spring type mooring system. See my avatar pic Between my father's boat and mine, they've been heavy used for 3+ years now.

I use the fibreglass pole whips and do not find them a hassle to use, but the product you are looking at and the the product k_b uses both look good as well.
