illusion tower lights

Looking for the crew for ideas on how to make adapters for lights to the illusion x tower. I do not think I need the new hid lights, but looking for ways and ideas to get cheaper lights to mount to the tower. If anybody has old illusion tower lights for sale...I would be interested. If not, let the suggestion come. Thanks

DIYWAKE.com has some cheaper lights for the tower.

I was also considering trying to mount these lights (below) through the light access holes on the front of the tower using stainless steel toggler bolts. I wanted to use small enough bolts so I could still feed the power/ground wire through the same existing hole. I think this would do the job and look asthetically fine once I wire loom the exposed wire. I'll let you know how it turns out once I finish. If it doesn't work...oh well its only $27.99.

http://www.trailtech.net/lights.html has halogen light starting at $60. and HID starting at $80.

The posts look to be a little short to go thru the tower, but they do have stick on and clamp on versions. I think you would have to figure out a way to extend the post or install a bar on the tower to clamp the lights to.

Just scroll down the page from the above link to see the different lights and beam projections. For surfing i would say the MR16 in halogen or the SCMR16 in HID.

Let me know if you can figure out how to hook them up to an illusion x.

I put some regular driving lights up with toggle bolts and they work OK. No problems with the mounting or anything. With that being said I am switching to the HID's this year.
