Just rode behind one today, and OMG the difference between the 2010 wakesetter and an 08 vride is HUGE! is it worth getting a VLX over an older Vride tho?

I don't know, I guess it depends on how good you are.

Isn't that a decision YOU have to make yourself, afterall you're paying for it.

so what part did you feel made such a huge difference?

the newer hull made sooo much difference, it just displaces the water so much better. i found also because the boat is "deeper" if you know what im talking about, it makes a wake with no weight or wedge that the v-ride would make with the back tanks of ballast and manual wedge, then, i just also found it more cosy, i cant explain it really, the seats were just more comfortable, maybe different material. but now i do see why the vride is that much cheaper.

and when u look at the vride on the sides of the boat at wakeboarding speeds there isnt that much water coming up from the sides and in the vlx, it just a huge wall of water. its amazing :)

Now you have to put some $$$ on all of that to see if it's "worth" it. For me, maybe...for my wife, not so much!
