Which Liquidforce wakesurfer?

Hey guys, need some opinions. I'm looking at getting a wakesurfer that will work well with a smaller wake. So far I like the liquid force venture series. It comes in a 5' and a 5'6". They also have the 5'3" Fish. I'm 175 lbs, and the boat is a 90 Malibu euro open bow with no ballast yet, but will surf with 8-9 people on board. I'm leaning towards the larger board, the 5'6". I like the price and I think it will be better for a small wake. What would you guys recommend for a beginner around this price range?

I have the custom thruster 4'6'' and love it. LF has a nose rider board that they claim will work with almost any wake. I would consider the nose rider.

Skim style boards are typically slower than surf style boards due to the fact that they are less buoyant, and thus are a bit tougher to stay in the pocket of the wake (especially smaller wakes). I would stick with a surf style board with a thruster set up (three fins). Inland surfer and Shred Stixx both make good surf style boards.

just posted about this on another thread thought it might be helpful here:

I have a vride, 500lbs mid, 500 rear, wedge (so not huge wake yet, will be adding more ballast) and this cwb board lets me surf no rope easy and was very affordiable and responsiveSurfing.gif

and I should add I am about 210lbs
