Dumb Question # 2

You can tell I pulled the boat out to get it ready today with the questions... Here is #2, the front right grill/screen/vent on the 247 at the nose was loose and so I removed it to reattach the grill to the frame and behind the panel there is something that looks like a horn. I thought the horn was behind the instrument panel? My horn is not functioning and has not since I purchased the boat (I use an air horn - much more effective!) but was curious if it is not the horn someone could tell me what it is?

You are right. It is the horn. The only two I think that don't have the horn in that spot now is the VLX and the LSV. I could be wrong, I am sure the dealers will have more info if y9ou need.

Needless to say, that is a horrible spot for the horn. Mine has had 2 or 3. They like to get filled with water when ever you take a lil over the bow. I think I may move it when I have to buy one.

I have never seen a boat with a decent horn. From what I’ve seen they’re usually under the dash and not very loud. I don’t think any sound from my horn even leaves the boat.
