"Vent" Mux switch?

Recommended Posts

I was changing a button on one of my mux switches and I ran across an option called "Vent". What the heck is this? I added it and turned it on just to see what the hell and it definitely turned something on, but I couldn't tell what. And I didn't want to leave it on too long since I wasn't sure what the heck it was. It sounds like it is turning on a ballast pump though.

Any ideas?

I know exactly what you're talking about and mine does the same thing. I asked the dealer and I was told it was for the Corvette boats and it was to control a fan in the dash. Not sure what's it's running or doing on my boat. Ask your dealer and see what they say. Report back I'd like to hear about it.

It is for venting the driver's seat after those burrito lunches!

Nope, it's clearly not the blower coming on. It sounds just like one of the ballast pumps in fill mode....

I'll ask my dealer next time I'm in and see what they say and will report back.

I know there is a switch for your blower but check to see if the vent switch is turing that on.

No definitely not the blower, not the ballast pumps, not the heater. I have no idea what it is.
