Telescoping tow ball is cinched up

Recommended Posts

Anyone have this issue, took my new (to me) LSV out yesterday and I cant get the rear tow post to rise, spoke to a dealer and he said sometimes they cinch up. Any tips, with the rear of a hammer I got it to raise 1 inch or so, that is it.

When the nylon bushing gets hot sometimes they expand and tighten up... wait until you let it sit for the night and pull the whole thing apart and sand down the nylon bushing a little. if its under warranty take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

I used a cylynder hone on a previous boat I had. All you really need to take off is about .003" -.004" Ran it with a drill for a few minutes, Done!.
