Double boots or rtp on Radar Theory

Recommended Posts

DocB

I am getting ready to order the new Radar Theory ski and they are suggesting boot and toe plate set up. I was wanting to go double boots because I have always started both feet in. Is there a disadvantage with double boots on this intermediate ski? Where is a good place to order/do business with? Thanks in advance

I prefer dual-boot for safety. However, if the ski is going to be shared, a RTP is more versatile.

No disadvantage. Really just a matter of preference.

If you are used to double boots, then that is what I would go with.

Which boots are you getting with the ski?

If you go w/ the Radar Vector(s) boots, you will be happy. Very nice boot....and you can get in without slime.

another thing...I don't believe that the Theory has changed in the last few years (except the graphics). Don't be afraid of a leftover. Although if looking for a 67", the 2009s seem to all be gone.

I am thinking double vector. I am 6'5" 220lbs so will have to go with a 69....probably will not share the ski much....I know a little selfish but if I am going out 5x week and someone else 1x month then I am going to set it up for me.....

Another vote for double boot. I will never go back. Also another vote for Wiley's very good people and service.

I love the Wiley's hi wraps.

I think that you will like the double Vector setup. I am skiing with the Rails on my ski and have really liked them. The Vectors have made some improvements on the Rail, enough that I have at least been tempted to consider new boots.
