Storeage Netting on both sides

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any tips on how to replace the elastic in the storeage netting on both sides of the interior below the gunwale. The netting is all droopy and needs to be fixed, but getting access to where it is fastened to the side panel is near impossible (without removing the side panels, which I'd rather not do). Anyone do this?

Access is tough. I attached new cord to the fixed end and the other end I pulled the new cord through the existing attachment grommet and fastened the cord end where were it could be reached at the corner of the back seat base. Using the old mounting location was key to keeping the netting snug and in place. It's all hidden but now I have access to adjust. Yours may be different but maybe my "idea" will give you a spawn a possible solution.

Thanks for the post. I think mine is different. Feeling around on the backside of the panel it looks to be attached using staples. Hard to say for sure because I can't actuall see it well. There is no existing attachement gromet. Although, you did give me an idea of adding one. I may be able to add one in a location that would be reachable on the backside of the panel.

Mine has a single screw holding a circular fitting that you pull the cord through. Placement is key to a good fit. Getting the screw on and off by feel with a shorty screw driver was tricky and I could not get the leverage to create a new hole. At least now I have a method of future replacement. Good Luck.

Try using a mirror to see what you are dealing with.
