Window tinting

I'm going to tint the windows on my 06' V-Ride and I'm being told the only way to do it properly is to remove the windows. Anyone have any experience with this? I just want to make sure I'm removing and re-unstalling the windows properly.

I've heard other people on this board say they've had their glass tinted with the glass staying in the boat. It's not easy but, can be done. Taking the windshield off a boat and re-installing it is something you only wanna do if you have to.

I wouldn't ever take the windshield out to tint the windows. It can definitely be done with the glass in the boat.

I agree with A7X_LSV_23, taking the windows out is not the way to go. I do recommend that you go to a window tinting shop that does quality work and uses the best materials. ceramic tint would be the best way to go.

I have an '06 iRide which I'd assume has the same windows as the vRide. I took them out to add dash speakers. It would have been a breeze except one of the screw heads was stripped from the factory and I had to drill it out. Otherwise, you could have them out within 20 minutes with two people.
