2006 LXI Dash spotting

You are so right. Just replaced the Infinity speakers in my RLXi with Polk DB651's today, couldn't believe how easy it was to remove the w/s. Took the opportunity to give the dash a really good cleaning while I was at it - amazing how much dirt gets in/around there. I'll be adding this to the annual maintenance list! Thumbup.gif

Hey Jerry,

I have the same boat... did you have any issues w/ the grills of the Polks hitting the windshield? I replaced the rear speaker last year (w/ db651's), but not the fronts (infiinitys). In "eyeballing" the front install, it looked like the grilles might contact the windshield. Also, does the "silver" of the grilles stand out much against the black dash...or cast reflection upon the windshield??

TIA,

Dave

(ps. sorry to hijack your thread, Mark)

No clearance issue, Dave. The silver does stand out against the black dash, but it is hard to say on the reflection. I can definitely see a reflection from certain angles, but the boat is sitting in my garage, so I'll withhold judgement until I see it on the lake. They do sound great though!
