Towables what's recommended

We purchased the Malibu Response LXI and were using an Xwing for our towable. The Xwing is rather large and cumbersome. Does anyone have any suggestions and where do you recommend towing from; the tower or pole anchored to the hull?

Never tow the tube from the tower! You are setting your self up for some expensive gel coat repairs. If you side load the tower it can do some pretty extensive damage. I usually tow from the ski pilon, but have towed from the back back if there are young kids who wont keep their hands away from the ropes in the boat.

Always pull any inflatable from the ski pylon.

If not the transom handle for reasons Malibuzer mentioned.

If you pull from the transom handle you will bend it.....My buddy did it on his boat FWIW

I would always pull from ski pylon..

 a Bayliner

On the serious side…only use your tower for wakeboards, kneeboards and ski skies. I won’t even pull water skies from my tower. I like my gel coat just the way it is…without cracks.

I hear that. I tell the kids around here I'll drag them all day long on any toy that takes some skill to ride. This boat has a reputation to uphold on this lake :rofl:
