new G3 tower

I've been hearing from a couple of mates that Malibu have developed the new G3 tower because of a competitor having taken the design of the illusions. For general knowledge can you still buy the illusion towers?. Also does anyone know who the competitor might be?

Your information is incorrect. Along with the fact that Malibu was not happy that the builder of the Illusion and Illusion X towers (Metcraft) marketed similar designs to other companies, Metcraft also went out of business. The casting molds were sold to Xtreme, but I don't know if they have started production on them. A nice benefit is with Malibu building in house, they have full control on quality control.

I think Smoothwater explained it pretty good, Metcraft's customer service was starting to tarnish Malibu's reputation and Malibu decided to move on which helped Metcraft go out of business since Malibu was their biggest account.

From what I've learned Xtreme tower products purchased Metcrafts assets but I heard Malibu still owns the molds for the Illusion X and XS towers because they were origonally plannign on still building the Illusion X towers for the Ride series boats (you can even see that the IX tower is standard in the brochure on Ride boats)

Metcraft was building a similar tower for Centurion and Tige. Not sure if there were any others.
