Scams

Watch out for scams on boats. I found a 1992 Malibu Euro F3, as it was advertised, for $3800 on oodle. It said it had 900 hours and cruise. The seller said it was NJ and he would sell it through ebay so the deal would be insured and safe. The first clue that the deal was a scam, beside the 3800 price, was he would never talk to me personally. It was always through the internet or he would leave a message on my phone. If I answered the phone it would make a loud pitch noise, then they would call right back and try to get to your voice mail. The second clue was it was a person from the middle east that pretended to be "Adam". Do not send money orders in advance without talking to the sellers and check how they write the ads because they do not speak english as well and type like they talk. I am not trying to offend anyone or nationality, I am just letting people know of the crooks that are out there. Buyer Beware.

First post & saving us from the evils of the world? I'd call a scam, but.....

Faith, there are dozens of threads about this type of scam going back years in this forum. Maybe try the search utility sometime.

Yea, right.
