Hi guys, I have just purchased a 1992 Euro F3 and it is in need of repair. I need a windshield, dashboard gauge covers, vinyl work, decals and gel coat repair for faded paint. thanks for any help in finding these items.

I'd suggest you talk to your local dealer. You're not gonna find the first two parts anywhere.

The dealer could probably suggest a vinyl shop and gel guy.

I just did gelcoat work on my 88' Skier. Our boats are too old to just order color matched gel from Spektrum. They require a sample of you gel to match to your "faded" color since over 20 years the boat will fade from it's factory color. The bad news is you have to order a gallon of gel. It was bad news for me since I had a quarter sized spot from the water cops hitting our boat. The state payed for the damage quote the dealer gave me and I ended up doing the gel repair myself. I still need to post up the pics and info on what I learned during the repair. The good news is the repair turned out great and is as close to invisible as I could expect.

If your gel is simply faded there are some great threads in restoring gel coat. The good news about gelcoat compared to auto finishes is the gel is the same color and material the entire way through. You can wetsand and polish a severely faded boat to look brand new. Thumbup.gif

For the interior, ours was re-done locally. It turned out great, but was expensive. If I were to do it I would contact Chee and have new skins made. I would put on everything I could handle and leave the tough to install skins for the local pros.

Decals will be tough to find. If I ever replace mine I will update them to a newer Malibu decal available from Bakes Marine.

Our gauge cover is outdated and I would actually like to cover ti with a piece of color matched interior vinyl.

Just a few ideas that I have for our older boat. Hope it helps!

Thanks alot, I have seen plenty of references to Chee, I will try to find him for a quote since all vinyl needs replacing.

Going next week to the local glass shop to check on cutting a Lexan windshield....anybody have any luck with this?

I have found this site with gel coat repair...anybody used this product? http://vivilon.com/

The boat has a Mercruiser 350 Magnum, and I am looking for a maintenance manual, with diagrams etc. for the engine, can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks, Bob

Did you have any luck with your windshield and using Lexan? I have 1991 Skier Euro F3 and can not find a windshield..

There is a thread on here somewhere where someone made a replacement windshield... Search around and you should find it.
