2008 MUX Switch RHS #4 not responding

Recommended Posts

Hi Floks Biggrin.gif

By accident I found out that my "MUX Switch RHS #4 not responding".

I was trying to change/edit the stereos MUX switch display, I couldn't access this function as the number 4 button, which is required to be de-pressed at same time as "page & number 5 button" is not working !.

All other buttons on the MUX switch panel work. Does any one have any ideas as how to solve this problem ?

I had similar issue with mine and dealer replaced the whole MUX. If that is not an option and you have a rear MUX you can set it up to perform the task previously held by your button #4 on the bad one.

Warranty will replace the whole mux with new, something failed in the switch board.

Chrome trim pops off (snaps on) two screws and one plug. Won't take you more than 5 minutes to replace.

If you need to manually turn something on you can do that at the fuse panel, remove the fuse for the accessory you are trying to power and place it into the slot next to where the fuse was. This will bypass the mux switch in a emergency.

Hope this helped.
