Hi all.

Have a 05 Wakesetter VLX. When scrolling thru the display the centre tank has stopped coming up.

Has anyone had this problem?

Thanks for anyhelp you may have,

For anyone that has the same problem.

If the ballast level meter becomes disconnected (ie wires come apart) the tank indication will not come up on the screen. I rejoined the cable but still the tank wouldn't come up.

Voltage to where the monitor is connected was ok.

started to fault find:

disconnected the positive on the front tank and connected that monitor up to centre tank positive.

Centre tank now on screen front tank gone.

Found to be faulty tank monitir.

I think hiphopn summed it up, basically if the sending unit goes bad or the circuit is broken it will not show up on your display. The dash is sending out a reference voltage to the sending unit and if the circuit is open it won't read anything.

I would start at the connections from the sending unit and work your way from there.

If you know how to operate a multimeter you can check ohms resistance and the sending unit, if it shows a open line then you you know the sending unit is bad and needs to be replaced saving you some time digging thru the wiring.

Hope this helped you out
