Throttle Knob is broken!

Recommended Posts

The isso...whatever it's called throttle knob came loose this weekend. It can now spin around and also can be pulled up and down slightly. Is this a dealer issue or something we can address ourselves?

Thanks!

Mine did that too. It is an easy fix. Basically the bolt that holds it all together dropped down.

IIRC, Take the top of the throttle off (the shiny billet part with the indentations) it unscrews. Then unscrew the knob. You should find a small bolt, just by itself inside the ball. Take notice at how it is all assembled, and just put it back together. I fixed mine when we were floating around Lake McClure Memorial Weekend. It had finally come totally loose. I didn't even need tools to do it, and 90 hours later its still tight.

Ditto, mine's still tight too.

I think you need an allen wrench though to tighten the little screw inside, IIRC...

The whole knob assembly unscrews. The bolt is an allen head, but I did not need an allen wrench to tighten it. Less than 5 minute fix.
