Y-pipe

I know this has probably been discussed before but i couldn't find an answer to my specific question in a search. I have read that moving the y-pipe before the impeller increases heat at idle but I was talking to the service manager at my dealer and he said that it wasn't possible on my boat which is a 2008 sunscape with the 320 LCR. Is this true or is it just a pain in the a** because it is a v-drive with the impeller in the back?

Do a search for "y pipe". There was an article about how to get the heater to blow warmer especially during idle but, I can't seem to find it in the tech./diy section right now.

It should actually be easier on a V-drive than a DD to move the Y adapter. No reason you can't do it, just make sure you install the Y the correct way your you'll have a very cold heater.

I did this mod on my boat last year. It works great!

Mine's a DD, so I cannot comment on the V-Drive. I do know it was very very easy. The hardest part was getting the brass 45 degree fitting out of my circulating pump so I could plug that hole.

Thanks guys for all the replies. I just wish I didn't have to wait another 2 months to actually get in the boat to start some projects. COME ON SPRING!!!
