Does anyone know of a contact for water skiing in Puerto Vallarta? I am think of going there on vacation this winter. Last year the crew hooked me up with Scott Smith in Cancun and it was great. Does anyone have any contacts in Puerto Vallarta.

Stay away from Puerto Vallarta and stay in Nuevo Vallarta! MUCH nicer and newer! The beaches in Puerto suck, the police walk around with AR's, and you feel like your in Mexico. Nuevo is like Hawaii but with looser liquor laws and a language barrier.

No skiing in Puerto that I know of.... I was down there year before last and did some seraching and didn't find anything. The Cancun skiing looked liek it woudl be ok but nothing liek that in Puerto. The other thing was that I went over Christmas and it was cold! The air was only high 60 and the water was very cold.

Good luck and have fun. I would go back to Ixtapa anytime fwiw!

I would agree with this, especially the beaches part! Unless you intend to stay at the highest end all inclusive resort and never leave it, I would not recommend PV.

Some other couples and my wife and I went to PV about 3-4 years ago. Rented a 6 bedroom house with pool, full time cook, full time maid (who really just cleaned up alcohol bottles and made margaritas), and an "errand runner" for VERY cheap. House was essentially brand new up in the mountains looking at coast. Really depends what you plan to do. Relaxing and having people wait on you, not a bad spot for that. I'd go back for that trip though don't expect to use the beaches too much. Kind of a St. Lucia type of situation in PV. I saw no ads for any skiing though I wouldn't have skied too well after all the Modelo.
