Precision Pro Problems

i have precision pro installed in my 08 VTX and have issues with it since the day i got i it. while in speed mode it flucuates either way by around 5kmh (which is unskiable), and it seems to hold speed a lot better in RPM mode. it has been back to the dealer to be fixed, which they say it has been. but the problem is still there. does any one else have this problem, or know how to fix it? i also find it sucks that you can only turn it on when at slower speeds, and that you have to turn it on every time you turn the ignition on, this is quite annoying when you forget to set it initailly then go to do it on the fly. i love the boat but regret not installing perfect pass, god i miss it!!!!

You might look at the paddlewheel and make sure it is a. free and b. not bend or damaged. I have seen some issues with the Malibu system not functioning as desired, there is a software glitch that causes some undesireable reactions, in this case a hiccup on any turn.

The Malibu system on my 07 stays right around +/ - 1/2 mile per hour well skiing hard so I will take that over a novice driver.

It will not let you activate it at speed it will at low speed. I have had it not keep speed once or twice but it was well I was skiing so I am thinking the driver my have committed some sort of error. It would be nice if you could turn it on and have it stay active through stop and start situations. We never put a skier or pick one up with the engine running.

I do use mine most of the time skiing it frees up the driver for more observation of thing ahead or in the water.
