A Few Possible Warranty Issues

Recommended Posts

I have a few cosmetic issues that I would like to get taken care of under warranty before it expires in April but I wanted to run them by the crew first to see if you think they are worth my time and/or if Malibu would replace them. The chrome is starting to flake off at least 2 of the tower mounts (Titan 3) and the tower tow ball thing (not sure what it's actually called) is dull/corroded/pitted. Also the 2 malibu emblems on the sides are corroded/pitted. What do you think?

Always worth a try for warranty fixes, especially before that become no longer an option. Go for it.

Well I hate calling them because every time I'm there they are running around and busy heck.....but I just did anyways, they said no problem on all of it!!! Thumbup.gif

I know you are a smart guy and we are like minded on a lot of things, but let me make one thing clear to you, with all due respect intended: YOU are the customer. They are the vondor. Times are tough. They should bend over backwards for you at every possible moment, if they intend to KEEP you as a customer.

Yeah I know, but I feel like I'm always crying warranty to them. Especially something like this where if they don't warranty it then I probably wouldn't have it fixed. Oh well, like I said, I called and they said they could warranty it, so I'll take it in in March when I get her summerized!!

I couldn't agree with you more, but since times are tough the warranties are very black and white now. If your in question about whether something is warrant-able i would read the manual because that is what is being followed.

Nobody wants to lose a customer but the alternative is the possibility of a vendor or distributor not being there at all to service you or the product at all. If that happened the warranty would be non existent. Every vendor and business has preservation on the mind right now so your going to see them do everything possible but I don't think it will be bending over back wards like you are thinking.

Speaking from first hand experience, Malibu and Indmar are top notch when it comes to standing by their product compared to other tournament boat manufactures that I've worked for. Nobody that I know of does it better than them.

I would take it in and let the dealer tell you warranty or not.

If not, they may take care of it anyway for customer satisfaction.

I had a few things that i was unsure of, and they were covered no questions asked.
