Hull seam issues

Recommended Posts

Hey all - I thought I'd log back in and tell the rest of the story.

I got in touch with Paul at Bakes and we brought our beloved boat down to them. They took great care of our boat and put everything back together the right way, which was not done when we tried to repair it ourselves.

We really have no idea how the hull came apart. We decided together that something must have happened that was abnormal. That really doesn't matter because we will never find out. The important thing is we have our boat back, it is all in one piece, and we are happy. Can't wait to get it in the water and see it enjoyed by our campers again.

Paul and Bakes Marine are a great group of guys and I appreciate their patience as we had a lot of "cooks" stirring the pot in this thing. We are going to make some procedural changes in how we use the boat and make sure the driver knows how to properly dock, stow and use the boat. Some good training will go a long ways toward keeping our boat working well for years to come!

Thanks all for the great advice and thoughts.
