Tower pins?

The "pins" that lock the tower (Illusion) in place always vibrate loose when we go out. I see a small set crew that that will tighten against the pin

How do I tighten the screw? With the tower up I can't get at it and with the tower down the pin is not inserted.

Thanks in advance.

You adjust that screw with the tower down and the pin in the hole. If you make it to tight the pin won't insert, to loose well you'll have the same problem you're having now.

drop tower, insert pins, tighten set screw....you want it to be stiff to pull out, but not too stiff...you may have to try different degrees of tightness with the set screw to find the right setting...the only way to "try" this is by using it in normal routine circumstances....when you get it right, you won't have any back out issues....rotating the ring down will not keep them from backing all the way out if the set screw isn't set right
