Tiller arm wearing through water hose!

Recommended Posts

While winterizing I noticed that the water line running from the V-drive to the impeller is rubbing on the rudder tiller arm and a decent wear spot is developing. It has a zip-tie holding it up but you really need to crank on this hose to get it to clear. I'm thinking about using something stronger like a wide velcro strip or something. Has anyone else run across this? What was your solution?

Thanks!

Mine was that way too. Seems like I bought a new hose form Malibu, and then cut it off a little shorter & then tied it up with numerous zip ties. I think it still rubs, but will take it several years to get a rubspot again :)
