Hi,

Am considering purchasing an extended warranty on my ’07 VLX Monsoon engine (with ext catalytic system) and drive. Was told by multiple people, including a marine service place, that First Protection Corporation or FPC is reputable. Anyone here had any experience with them or know anyone who has? Or has anyone here used any other company for an boat extended warranty that they’re satisfied with? Thanks in advance.

The only thing I bought an extended warranty on was my home computer. I was having multiple problems with my Dell XPS. I bought the extended warranty and after 4.5 years they mailed me a brand new laptop. Now that was a deal.

You have to bump the price of the insurance to the cost of repairs. For home, car and boat, after you pay the premiums and deductibles its not really worth it.
