Trouble Shooting Dash Lights

Recommended Posts

Stang

It's getting that time of year again to pull the boat and fix all the little things that are not working. At the top of this list is my dash lights. I have a 2005 Response LXI that we picked up this spring. One of the small items (I hope) that I'd like to resolve this fall before putting the boat in storage is the dash lights. There are three multi function gauges in my dash. The center gauge light works great. The light in the gauges on the right and left of center do not work. I plan to start by looking for bad grounds but wondered if anyone had any inside information on what may be causing this or any tips on trouble shooting this issue....... Thanks

The gauges and lights get there power and signals from a common buss connector. I believe that there are 4 of them behind the dash. Try swapping them around to see if you have bad lights in the gauges or connections.
