2002 Wakesetter Bogging Down

Recommended Posts

I have a 2002 wakesetter that I recently purchased. It has the Indmar Carbureted Vortec engine that seems to bog down at full speed. My first guess is the fuel filter, i have replaced the one nearest the gas tank, but i have read that it could have 2 fuel filters. The problem is I cannot find the second fuel filter(if it even has one). Is there anyone that could help me locate it, with either a picture or description. Or any other ideas which may be contributing to the problem.

As far as locating the secondary fuel filter (if it has one) just follow the fuel line from the tank forward. It would be a spin-on fuel filter / water separator...looks like an oil filter.

I have followed it, i have one possible candidate. I'll post pictures tomorrow as it is too dark right now. It would be located after the fuel pump right?

On my carb'd Sportster it is right before the fuel pump, mounted on the stringer almost directly below the pump.
