In the past few days I have thrown a few posts in with some questions and now I am playing with posting pics. Let's see if it works or not. If not, sorry I will try again. If it worked, yeah!

Here's a few pics of our new 97 Response LX in the "as found" condition. I am now in the process of that mirror finish and touch ups.

Love the site, you folks are a wealth of knowledge!

That's a great looking Response Eric Thumbup.gif

I see you're from the La Crosse area; do you ever make it to other parts of the state to boat?

RedOwl, for a week about every year we stay on Lac View Desert north of Eagle River. Haven't had this up there yet. If you look closely on the interior shot you will see a boat in the driveway of the house. That's what we just moved up from.

The windshield swings open like a traditional open bow but you do step up and over the dash. The bow seat faces forward. One thing that has worked out nice is the double observer seat. Besides, the kids ride in front and out of the way. Thumbup.gif

Very nice. Congrats.

Might need to drop the hitch a little to raise your prop guard & flatten out the trailer a bit.

thanks, actually the top pic is the only one tied to the FJ and it is only slightly uphill. I have heard that it isn't good to have the tongue on a downward angle toward the tow vehicle with the surge brakes.

You should do whatever it takes to get it level. Level is the only truly safe way to hook her up.

It looks like to run on level I will need a 3" drop mount instead of the 2" that I have now. All the local stores carry are 2" and 4" and the 4 is too low. Time to start searching the net.

I just had a factory swing tongue install to make it fit in the garage so finding the 3" mount should be a piece of cake.

As for the boat, she has spent her life on a lake under a covered lift and has 600 hrs on the clock. With a little TLC it will look as good as new.
