What are the differences between an 04 VLX...

What are the main difference between my 04 VLX and a newer one.. Now that I have one i'm hooked and would like to know more.

The newer VLX's from 05-08 have a different hull that's wider than your 04. The 09 has a new hull from the 08 version that I think is even an inch or two wider than the 05-08. Also, starting with the 05 model, they put the rear ballast tanks under the floor boards instead of off to the side of the rear trunks, so there is more room in the trunks on the newer ones. They also added throttle by wire (no cable), Malibu Speed Control, and maybe some other little bling things that I'm missing. But the main difference is the width of the hull on the newer ones, which translates into much more interior room. Even just 6" makes a big difference. I have an 07 vRide, which is on the same hull as your 04 VLX. The vRide has a little less bling features than the VLX does, but has pretty much the same interior setup and wake. You're going to love the VLX!
