I went from a 2016 Tundra Crew Cab to this ‘21 Ram 2500 gasser. The Tundra pulled it, but I didn’t feel comfortable or safe. I love the Ram.

My expectations were (a) low and (b) exceeded.  Water is low but lake is still pretty big.  We rented out of Antlers (really Sugarloaf now) so stayed mostly in the Sacto arm, which is typically not ideal.  However, now that sugarloaf is the only real public ramp going on the sacto arm, it wasn't THAT busy.  We definitely got great water every day before 10 a.m. and decent water most of the time otherwise.  It did get pretty busy late afternoon over the weekend, but that's to be expected in the summer.  All in all it was a great trip.

Had to take the boat to get decontaminated, and it’s easier to maneuver with the Jeep than the truck. The Grand Cherokee does surprisingly well as a local tow vehicle.

I did.  Really just chalking that up to bad luck (knock wood/fingers crossed)

we just got back from Powell and this happened somewhere north Spd Harris ranch. On the really crappy section of.   I-5

I've been going through mental hurdles this year... I did a 2 hour two about a month ago covered with the boat wrapped in plastic wrap. Went well and was easy to get ready. Seemed to have little to no high strain areas on the cover too. I think I am going to do our 4 hour two in a month with it covered too. I am too paranoid at this point I think.

I consider myself pretty lucky, and if this happens to anyone the fix is much simpler than you might think.

initially I thought I had to loosen the bolts on the vertical support beams to allow for enough room get the windshield to slide back up then tighten them back down. But that doesn’t allow enough room .

called my dealers service Dept and the recommendation was (wait for it) carefully put a flat head between the frame and glass and wedge it back up.

Yeah NO!!

My next question was how long will it take to get a new windshield when it breaks from the screwdriver, (6-8weeks)

the actual fix is this.

put a towel on the glass, and use a hammer and punch to pop the roll pins out of the hinges. The window drops down and easily go back into place.
