New Boat

This is my first posting so here goes. Wish I knew about this site when I owned my first two Malibu boats. I'm hoping to purchase the best waterski boat that Malibu sells. This will be my third Malibu. I'm over wakeboarding and ready to again get serious about waterskiing. The dealers do not really know thier boats, they sell them they don't use them. I'm looking for advise from owners of these two models (LXI - FXI) and there differances related to waterskiing. I'm not interested in color, graphics, seating Etc. Which boat produces the best wake for waterskiing?

FXI is a true family boat in that there is lots of room and storage, yet still produces a wake that you can actually run a course with. However its width is pretty wide for the course.

I would say if your looking for a boat that can handle bigger water and still ski, the FXI will keep you dry. If your on small water the and are looking for a 3 event boat, LXI is what they are running at the tournaments.

So if youare looking for what the pros are using, LXI. Some would even argue that if you don't need the space, or if you lake is restricted to a 20 ft boat, the Response / Response LX still can be bought, even thought its not in the brochure.
